Need Funds for Precog?

If you’re logging in with your email to participate in Precog prediction market and you’re short on funds, you’re likely in one of two camps:

Camp One: I Have Funds, But They’re on the Wrong Chain

Your funds are safe—they’re just on a different network than the one hosting the contest. Precog contests run on Base Mainnet, so if your wallet holds funds on another chain, you’ll need to bridge them over.

How to Bridge Your Funds to Base Mainnet

  1. Use a Bridge Aggregator: This tool lets you choose from dozens of bridging services.
  2. Recommended Bridge Aggregators:

Tip: If your preferred aggregator doesn’t support your current chain, check the chain’s official site for additional bridging options.

Example: You might see a message like “add ETH to Base to get votes.” Here, ETH is the token you need, and Base refers to Base Mainnet—the network for the contest.

Camp Two: I’m New to This Wallet and Have No Funds

If you’re using Precog for the first time, your wallet might be empty. In that case, you’ll need to add funds from another source.

Steps to Add Funds

  1. Onboard with a Service: Set up an account with a trusted onboarding provider to purchase funds.
  2. Transfer Funds to Your Wallet:
    • Desktop: Click the button in the upper-right corner (your wallet address, which starts with 0x...), then select Copy Address.
    • Mobile: Tap the Profile button in the lower-right, then tap the link icon below your 0x... address to copy it.

Important: When transferring funds, double-check that you’re sending them to Base Mainnet. The contest page will indicate which chain is in use—ensure it says Base.

Final Reminder

Always do your own research when using any third-party service. Precog is not liable for any issues arising from fund transfers outside our platform.

Happy forecasting on Precog, and good luck bridging to Base Mainnet!
